MMI desires to fulfill the Great Commission through a faithful generation of young people who love the Lord alone and follow Him wholeheartedly.
The Beginning of the Student Volunteer Movement (SVM) in 1886
One especially remarkable and significant event in the history of world missions is the Student Volunteer Movement for Foreign Missions (SVM), which began in Northfield, USA, in 1886 and became the heart of a global missionary effort at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
The SVM was a spontaneous missionary movement among young Christians, driven by a fervent longing to spread the Gospel worldwide and complete the Great Commission.
World Evangelization in Our Generation
In 1886, at the student Bible conference held at Mount Hermon, these young believers shared their vision for missions and dedicated themselves to the cause. Under the slogan, “The evangelization of the world in this generation!” countless young college students rose up for the fulfillment of God’s Kingdom. Through this youth-led movement of pure-hearted passion and devotion, global missions advanced significantly, marking a critical moment in the forward march of God’s Kingdom.

MMI seeks to raise up a generation of young people who embody this same purity and devotion to the Gospel and the nations. Throughout history, God has accomplished His great works through a pure generation who possessed His Word and trusted solely in Him.
MMI sends these young people to the nations for about a year, supporting independent teams to voluntarily and creatively engage in church planting missions in the field. MMI cooperates with long-term workers already serving in frontier areas, uniting their gifts and strengths in the Lord to carry out the Great Commission.
We invite faithful young people of the Lord to the following SM (Student Missionary) missions:
A campus student who has completed the Dream Together program!
A campus student who desires to joyfully give their tithe of time during their 20s!
A campus student who desires to take this once in a lifetime opportunity to live without media and instead live with the Lord, abiding by the word, and live among local friends!
SM is a ministry in which teams of believing college students embark on a one-year journey to the nation to which they are called, forming genuine friendships with the local people and establishing faith communities. During this precious year, as they engage in deep cultural and linguistic training, practice team-based ministry, and live in community, these students grow spiritually and mature in character. It becomes a time when the living reality of Jesus and the power of the Gospel are indelibly imprinted upon their lives.
